Organization Description:

Global Burn Care and Reconstructive Institute promotes and supports quality, consistent and free surgical repairs to burn victims and children born with cleft lips and palates through volunteer medical services, and the training and education of local health care providers in Bhutan. Through collaboration with the Bhutanese Health Ministry and local health care providers, establish innovative programs to enhance professional relationships and international friendship by jointly identifying needs to improve patient experiences leading to local self sufficiency. Establish a pilot program in Bhutan to address initial burn care through training to decrease morbidity and complications.

Example Project:

Repaired cleft lips, palates and some burn contractures on almost 400 patients in Bhutan
