Organization Description:

Ganesh Himal offers handcrafted clothing, textiles, jewelry, drums, paper accessories, and hemp. Their products are imported directly from cottage industries and development projects in Nepal and have been fairly traded since 1984.

Example Project:

Ganesh Himal works directly with Dhukati Women's Project Textiles. The program enhances the dignity of women by helping them develop a skill from which they can earn a living. The project has over 1,200 women producers who are taught weaving, sewing, carpentry, vegetable dying, pottery making, block printing and other skills.
