Organization Description:

Facing the Future develops young people’s capacity and commitment to create thriving, sustainable and peaceful local and global communities. We do this by providing tools for educators to integrate global issues and sustainability into their classrooms. We work with educators from all levels in all 50 US states and over 50 countries. Facing the Future is growing and will reach over 12.5 million students each year by 2020.

Example Project:

Facing the Future has implemented global sustainability education into over 8,000 classrooms in the U.S. in the last 3 years. Once the programming is implemented, teachers continue to use it indefinitely, reaching 100 students each per year (over 800,000 students).

Chronic Disease, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, Vaccine-Preventable Diseases, Other Infectious Diseases, Nutrition, Clean Water & Sanitation Access
