Organization Description:

The mission of Blue Nile Children's Organization (BNCO) is: -to address the needs of orphaned children in Ethiopia by providing a place of refuge - a place where they can live and become educated, healthy, productive members of their communities. -to holistically involve and include the community as solution partners in prevention of conditions that lead to more orphans, such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other afflictions.

Example Project:

Medical Center and Education Project: includes a primary care clinic in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, that provides basic care to the community and holds educational classes on prevention of infectious diseases and awareness of AIDS.

HIV/AIDS, Clean Water & Sanitation Access, Food, Water Borne & Diarrheal Illnesses, Maternal, Newborn & Child Health, Malaria, Health Care & Drug Access, Other Infectious Diseases, Reproductive health/Family Planning
